Visiting Sweden - Sweden Abroad

Is it accessible with reduced mobility?

Yes, we provide convenient transportation, accessible sites and accomodation to make sure you can enjoy the trip with reduced mobility. If you bring a wheelchair or if you need help carrying your own luggage, please let us know ahead of time.

What is the price and sign up fee?

The price is $2195 per person (+ $295 for single room) with $150 per person in sign up fee to hold your reservation. The balance is due on day 2 of the tour by credit card or bank transfer. Please make sure the bank transfer is prepared in advance or that your credit card is "unlocked" for high amounts and charges abroad.

What is included in the price?

The price includes all planned ground transportation in Sweden, 4-star hotel accomodation, breakfast and lunch every day, dinner at Munktell's Mechanical Workshop, entry fees and local guides as well as participation and non-alcoholic options at the café nights. Other dinners can be enjoyed with the group or by your own arrangement, and are not included in the price. You need to arrange your own travel to Stockholm. The tour starts in Stockholm City or Stockholm-Arlanda Airport and ends in Stockholm City.

Do I need to do genealogy research in advance?

No, it is not required to enjoy a tour into Sweden's past. But maybe the tour will inspire you to start genealogy? We can connect you with an experienced and skilled genealogist if you want to do some family history research before you arrive in Sweden for your tour.

How long is the tour?

The tour is six days (five nights), starting and ending in Stockholm. For the summer 2024 there is one tour in July (14th to 19th)  and one in August (4th to 9th).

Will all content be available in English?

Yes, all experiences are designed with English speaking Swedish Americans in mind, and all guided tours will be held in English.
